In my estimation the “apostle to the apostles” is egregiously overlooked far too much. Am I the only person who noticed that Christ appeared firs to a woman? We don’t even know where he was prior to that, he may not have even been in the Garden. He could have chosen to just appear where the apostles where, but he did not!

Why?

This is one of the questions I ponder frequently. It says something special about Jesus relationship to women. The greatest revelation of himself took place at the well in Samaria, to a woman! He last thought was for his mother, a woman! His first appearance to a human was Mary Magdala, a woman.

With Christ so clearly in relationship with women, why are we still stuck on a paternal system of government, church and family? Even Genesis said “God created man: male and female he created them.” Do you see that man in that case is not a gender? Male is, but man is not. Man is male and female. Yet that is a verse used since then to keep women in a subordinate position. The Church does the same thing.

We honor Mary the Blessed Mother of God, we honor St. Mary Magdalen, yet we put women out of the systems of power. This is sin. So today tell every woman you know, are related to or respect, thank you for being a woman and I respect you as an equal. Women are equal to men in every respect except physical. There is nothing spiritually superior about being a male.

Let’s take the word man away from a gender reference and replace it with male. For man is male and female. Check it out in Genesis, it’s plain as the nose on your face.

Very true. At the time of creation, inequality between the sexes entered only as a consequence of disobedience. In other words, inequality between the sexes was not originally part of the divine plan. It , therefore, follows that attempts by women today to restore equality are in keeping with God’s original plan.
